Tempe Police searching for suspects in assault, hit-and-run

PHOENIX — Police are searching for multiple suspects after a man was assaulted and struck by a vehicle in Tempe early on Saturday morning.

According to Tempe Police, the incident occurred near the intersection of College Avenue and University Drive around 2 a.m.

An altercation between the adult male victim and multiple people in a dark-colored passenger car led one of the passengers to exit the vehicle, police said.

The person who exited the vehicle proceeded to assault the victim and before fleeing the scene, the victim was struck by the vehicle.

The man suffered serious, non-life threatening injuries,.

Tempe Police are investigating the incident and have asked anyone with information on the vehicle to contact to police department.
