Tempe Marketplace to host weekly kids splash pad event during summer

PHOENIX — Tempe Marketplace will host a weekly event throughout the summer that will allow kids to escape the heat and spend time with their favorite fictional characters.

Summer Splash begins Thursday and will run every week from 6-7:30 p.m. until August 1, excluding the Fourth of July.

Each week will employ a different theme and feature free entertainment, music, dancing, prizes and a splash pad in which to cool down.

Kids of all ages are invited to the event.

June 6
Theme: Arabian Nights
Characters: Jasmine and Aladdin
Restaurant of the week: Noodles and Co.

June 13
Theme: Under the Sea Soiree
Characters: Ariel and Moana
Restaurant of the week: Yogi’s Grill

June 20
Theme: Good Toy Times
Characters: Jessie and Woody
Restaurant of the week: MOD Pizza

June 27
Theme: Frozen Fiesta
Characters: Anna and Elsa
Restaurant of the week: It’s All Greek to Me

July 11
Theme: Super Hero Sensation
Characters: Spider-Man and Captain Marvel
Restaurant of the week: California Pizza Kitchen

July 18
Theme: Princess & Pirate Party
Characters: Cinderella and Rapunzel
Restaurant of the week: Smashburger

July 25
Theme: Heroes Dance Party
