Suspect outstanding after Phoenix hit-and-run collision leaves 1 dead

Police are searching for a suspect after a Phoenix man was killed in a hit-and-run collision on Tuesday morning.

PHOENIX — Police are searching for a suspect after a Phoenix man was killed in a hit-and-run collision on Tuesday morning, authorities said.

At around 3:26 a.m., police responded to a hit and run collision on 31st and Northern avenues where they found 63-year-old James Thomas with critical injuries. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that Thomas was riding his bike on Northern Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle.

The investigation remains ongoing. No other information about a possible suspect.

Authorities also requested anyone with information about the suspect to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO (837-8446) for Spanish.
