Suspect at large after shooting in north Phoenix leaves man with life-threatening injuries

The suspect is at large after a man was seriously injured in an overnight shooting in north Phoenix, authorities said.

PHOENIX – The suspect is at large after a man was seriously injured in an overnight shooting in north Phoenix, authorities said.

Officers responded to a 911 call about a threat in the area of 25th Place and Larkspur Drive, near 24th Street and Cactus Road, around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

While still on the line for the threat report, the 911 caller said a man returned to the residence and fired a gun.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found one man with a gunshot wound. The suspect had already left the area.

The Phoenix Fire Department took the patient to a hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
