Suspects arrested in connection with Phoenix shooting that left 1 dead

PHOENIX — Three suspects have been arrested in connection with a Phoenix shooting in January that left one person dead, according to authorities.

On Jan. 10 at around 12:20 a.m., officers found 47-year-old Samuel Rocha suffering from at least one gunshot wound in the area of 53rd Avenue and Thomas Road, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Phoenix Police announced on January 24 that 22-year-old April Angerer and 40-year-old Michael Villegas had been arrested in connection with the case. Police later announced on Monday that 30-year-old Edwin Diaz-Garcia was also arrested in connection with the case.

Police said no other suspects are outstanding in the case.
