Subject of Silver Alert in East Valley retirement community found dead

PHOENIX – An 87-year-old East Valley woman who was the subject of a Silver Alert was found dead Tuesday, authorities said.

Jeannine Fautsch’s body was located about quarter of a mile from her home in Sun Lakes, a retirement community south of Chandler, around 12:40 p.m., according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

The case is under investigation, but there were no signs of foul play, MCSO said.

Fautsch had been last seen Monday around 3:45 p.m.

The Silver Alert was issued early Tuesday morning.
