PHOENIX — A former star of A&E’s “Storage Wars” show was found dead in an apparent suicide this morning in his Lake Havasu City home.
Darrell Sheets, 67, was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound early Wednesday, the Lake Havasu City Police Department said.
Just after 2 a.m., police were sent to a home on Chandler Drive for a report of a deceased individual.
Officers found a man with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man was identified as Sheets, a Lake Havasu City resident. His family has been notified, police said.
The department’s Criminal Investigations Unit responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The body was turned over to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office for further examination.
The incident remains under active investigation.
Sheets, who went by the nickname “The Gambler,” retired from Storage Wars in 2023. He then opened an antique shop called “Show Me Your Junk” in Lake Havasu City.
