PHOENIX — The Spooktacular Hot Air Balloon Festival is returning to Scottsdale’s Salt River Fields this weekend.

The annual Halloween-themed event begins Friday and runs from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. through Sunday. The event will have more than 20 hot air balloons from across the nation on display while holding additional activities designed for children all ages.

Each balloon will also double as a trick-or-treat station, as more than 4,000 pounds of candy will be passed out.
