PHOENIX — On the longest night of the year, a mile-long trail on South Mountain will be glowing.

The South Mountain Aglow festival, held at the mountain’s Environmental Education Center on Saturday 5:30-9 p.m., will feature luminarias placed along the Judith Tunell sidewalk trail.

The lanterns will be decorated with artwork from local children, business and artists.

Along with the lights, there will be local music, local art for gift shopping, food trucks and craft stations.

The event is free for all ages, with a $3 fee for the “make & take” activities.
