Authorities canceled a Silver Alert for a West Valley man with multiple medical issues after he contacted his family and said he wasn't missing.

PHOENIX — Authorities on Monday canceled a Silver Alert for a West Valley man with multiple medical issues after he contacted his family and said he wasn’t missing.
The family of 66-year-old Roy Olivas reported him missing on April 19, according to the Goodyear Police Department.
“Roy has contacted his family by phone and has had contact with Goodyear PD,” Sgt. Mayra Reeson said in an email on Monday. “Roy insists he is not missing and has left intentionally.”
Olivas, who is homeless, is known to frequent the Goodyear area. When the alert was issued, he’d last been seen near Pebble Creek Parkway and McDowell Road on April 14.
Olivas has kidney problems and dementia and recently underwent surgery, authorities said.
He is approximately 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds, with gray and black hair and short facial hair.

If he's homeless, how do they know he's missing? If he has family that knows he's homeless they need to get him off the street, especially knowing he has medical conditions. I wouldn't let a family member that's in his state to remain on the street.
