Phoenix man who went missing over weekend located after Silver Alert issued

PHOENIX – A 61-year-old Phoenix man who went missing on Sunday, prompting a Silver Alert, has been found safe, authorities said Tuesday morning.

James Edward Wilson was located at a local hospital and has been reunited with his family, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

When the Silver Alert was issued for Wilson early Monday, he hadn’t been seen since he left his home near 40th Street and McDowell Road on foot the previous morning. He was wearing a gray faded Air Force T-shirt, blue jeans and tennis shoes.

Wilson is 6 feet tall, weighs 170 pounds and has gray hair and brown eyes.

He suffers from a medical condition that can cause him to be confused and easily lost, authorities said.

No other details about the case were made available.
