Missing 87-year-old man last seen in Mesa found; Silver Alert canceled

PHOENIX — Authorities said a Silver Alert issued for an 87-year-old Mesa man was canceled early Thursday after he was found safe.

Richard Ruelle had last been seen around 2 p.m. Wednesday near Greenfield Road and Main Street. He was driving a 2018 red Ford F-150 pick-up with Arizona license plate CES2648.

Ruelle suffers from dementia and heart disease, authorities said.

No other details were immediately available.
