Silver Alert out of Chandler canceled after subject found safe

PHOENIX — Authorities canceled a Silver Alert out of Chandler on Tuesday after the subject was found safe.

The alert was issued for 70-year-old Laurie Jo Anderson on Monday night and canceled just before noon the next day.

No information about where she was located was made available.

Anderson, who has memory issues, had last been seen on foot between 9 a.m. and noon Monday near Alma School and Elliot roads.

She is known to take walks along the canal in the area with her terrier-type dog.

Authorities said Anderson wandered off another time and was found near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
