Silver Alert canceled for West Valley man who drove away from home

PHOENIX – A West Valley man missing since Thursday night was found safe, canceling a Silver Alert authorities had released.

Authorities said Friday morning that Alphesia Thomas, 76, of Surprise was to be reunited with his family.

He had last been seen near his home in Cactus Road/Bullard Avenue area around 9 p.m.

Thomas had driven away in a tan 2015 Chevrolet Equinox bearing Arizona license plate CSN9656.

No other information was available.
