Silver Alert canceled for Glendale man with memory problems

PHOENIX – A Silver Alert was canceled Monday after a missing Glendale man who has memory issues was found.

Police in the West Valley city said Robert Hirchak, 86, was found with his vehicle near the Tonto National Forest around 4:45 p.m.

An alert was issued Monday after Hirchak was last seen around midnight at home near 59th Avenue and Beardsley Road.

He drove off in a silver 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe bearing Arizona license plate 884GKM.

Hirchak, who has Alzheimer’s, was wearing a turquoise polo shirt, dark blue khaki shorts and slippers.

He stands 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 225 pounds and has blue eyes and gray hair.
