Silver Alert canceled after 75-year-old man last seen in Phoenix found safe

PHOENIX — A Silver Alert was canceled Thursday night after a 75-year-old man last seen in Phoenix earlier in the day was found safe, authorities said.

Dean Rowland was last seen in the area of Shea Boulevard and State Route 51 wearing black jeans with an unknown color shirt, authorities said.

Rowland, who suffers from a condition which may cause him to be confused and is known to get lost easily, intended to walk to a church near 49th Street and Greenway Road, authorities said.
