Silver Alert canceled after 23-year-old Chandler woman located

PHOENIX- A Silver Alert has been canceled after a 23-year-old woman last seen early Monday morning in Chandler was located Tuesday afternoon, according to authorities.

Carla Vanessa Valdez Cortez was last seen Monday morning at 12:30 a.m. leaving her Chandler home in a red long sleeve shirt, jeans and no shoes.

Chandler police announced just after 2 p.m. Tuesday that she was located. Further information about her condition wasn’t immediately known.

Cortez has been diagnosed with schizophrenia, bi-polar, depression and anxiety, and has been off her medication for the past week, according to authorities.
