Phoenix police release identity of victim in fatal shooting
Authorities released the identity of a man who was shot to death in central Phoenix over the weekend.

PHOENIX — Authorities released the identity of a man who was shot to death in central Phoenix over the weekend.
The victim in Sunday’s shooting was 55-year-old Albert Ruiz, the Phoenix Police Department announced Wednesday.
Officers responded to Seventh Street and Montebello Avenue, south of Bethany Home Road, at 4:45 p.m. to find a man who had been shot.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives identified and interviewed another man involved in the incident and released him pending further investigation.
No other details were made available.
