Shooting in Phoenix leaves 1 dead, another seriously injured

PHOENIX — An investigation is underway after a shooting in Phoenix on Friday afternoon left one dead and another seriously injured.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to a shooting call near 19th Avenue and Bell Road around 1:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers found two adult men with gunshot wounds. Both men were taken to a hospital with serious injures.
One of the men, later identified as 25-year-old Manuel Fonseca, was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other, still unidentified, has stabilized.
The area of 19th Avenue and Bell Road was shut down during the initial investigation.
No other information was made available.
