Authorities released the identity on Friday of the man who died after a shooting in a central Phoenix alley on Wednesday night.

PHOENIX — Authorities released the identity on Friday of a man who died after a shooting in a central Phoenix alley on Wednesday night.
Donte Dailey, 37, was found in the area of 17th Drive and Lane Avenue after police responded around 11:30 p.m. to reports of an assault and shooting, the Phoenix Police Department said.
Officers found Dailey suffering from a gunshot wound, police said.
He was brought to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead.
Police detained a man on the scene who allegedly admitted a fight he had with Dailey that led to the fatal shooting.
He was released pending further investigation.
