Shooting at Glendale apartment complex leaves one dead, another injured

PHOENIX — Police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting as a teenager from Glendale.

Elijah Williams, 18, died at a local hospital, after he was shot Sunday afternoon at a apartment complex near 65th and Olive avenues. Another 18-year-old was also shot at the complex. He remained in the hospital Monday in stable condition.

Brent Coombs, a spokesman with the Glendale Police Department, said that the shooting was the byproduct of an altercation involving multiple parties.
