Alleged sex trafficker indicted after victim calls Glendale police

PHOENIX — A 31-year-old man was indicted for alleged sex trafficking and domestic violence after a victim notified the Glendale Police Department, prosecutors announced Wednesday.

Dorion Nyguen Murray was charged last week with sex trafficking, aggravated assault, receiving profits of prostitution and transporting persons for the purpose of prostitution and is being held on a $250,000 cash bond, according to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.

The victim dialed 911 multiple times last month and told police that “she feared for her life and hid in a bathroom” after Murray allegedly hit and threatened her, according to prosecutors. She said she’d refused to be involved in prostitution operations in an area known as “The Blade” along 27th Avenue near Indian School Road in Phoenix.

The woman was later connected to support services.

Murray’s trial is scheduled to start in June.
