Scottsdale rated as best place in Arizona for New Year’s Eve celebrations

PHOENIX — Scottsdale has been named the top spot in the state for New Year’s Eve festivities for the second consecutive year.

WalletHub ranked Scottsdale No. 24 nationwide in its list of the biggest American cities to welcome 2026.

It was a slight drop from last year’s rankings, in which Scottdale ranked No. 22.

There’s a lot to do in Scottsdale on New Year’s Eve 2025, such as the parties at W Scottsdale and Caesars Republic Scottsdale. However, tickets sell out quickly for many of these events.

WalletHub came up with its list by comparing the 100 largest American cities in various categories, including costs, safety, accessibility and entertainment and food options.

Only one other Arizona city cracked the top 50: Tucson, which slid in at No. 49.

Five other Arizona cities were included in the rankings, including last-place finisher Glendale.

Chandler ranked No. 66, Mesa was No. 77, Phoenix was No. 84 and Gilbert came in at No. 97.

According to WalletHub’s findings, here are the top five best cities for New Year’s Eve, in order: Orlando, Las Vegas, New York, Seattle and Los Angeles.
