Scottsdale police searching for ‘Dumbbell Duo’ accused of stealing credit cards from gym lockers

PHOENIX — The Scottsdale Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding two men, dubbed “The Dumbbell Duo,” who are accused of breaking into gym lockers around the Valley.

The men allegedly went into several gyms and broke into lockers, where they stole personal items, wallets and credit cards.

The department added that the pair were seen on surveillance footage using the stolen credit cards for thousands of dollars of fraudulent purchases.

Scottsdale police said the duo has been connected to more than 10 theft cases.

Description of ‘Dumbbell Duo’

One of the suspects is described as a Black male between 20 and 30 years old, 6 feet tall and 160 pounds. Police said he has a black goatee and long, curly black hair.

The other suspect is described as a Black male between 20 and 30 years old, 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 150 pounds. He was seen on surveillance footage wearing a black face mask and a black baseball cap.

The suspects have been seen driving a white Mercedes-Benz sedan with no license plate.
