Scottsdale Art Week to feature works from legendary artists, influential galleries
Arizona art enthusiasts should get excited as Scottsdale Art Week returns to the Valley next week, featuring work from more than 120 galleries from around the world.

PHOENIX — Arizona art enthusiasts should get excited as Scottsdale Art Week returns to the Valley next week, featuring work from more than 120 galleries from around the world.
The event, presented by Scottsdale Ferrari, will take place at WestWorld of Scottsdale, which is located near Pima and Bell roads, from March 19-22.
Alongside the thousands of pieces available for attendees to view and purchase, there will also be five Ferraris and 32 sculptures.
Some of the featured artists include Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Salvador Dalí, Marc Chagall, David Hockney, Alex Katz and Maynard Dixon.
“Our cultural programming series reflects the broader ambition behind Scottsdale Art Week, bringing together local, national and international voices from across the art world,” Scottsdale Art Week Director Amy Gause said in a press release. “The discussions feature leading gallerists, respected museum leaders, world-class artists and insightful art experts from across the country and abroad.
“On stage, these programs foster dynamic conversations, introduce audiences to new ideas and perspectives and reflect the depth of dialogue shaping today’s art world.”
Scottsdale Art Week debuted in 2025 after Trey Brennen, owner of T.H. Brennen Fine Art, conceived the event after attending an art fair in the Hamptons.

The first day of Scottsdale Art Week will have a private preview from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. for members of the media and VIP attendees.
On Thursday, there will also be an Opening Night Vernissage from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. that will feature award presentations, live music by Lunar Calendar and a wearable-art runway show by Galina Mihaleva, who is from Arizona State University’s FIDM.
The art fair will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, but only from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
In addition to the fair, there will be multiple different types of programming taking place throughout the days.
On Friday at noon, art professionals will share practical guidance on how to care for an art collection. There will then be a conversation held with photographer Cara Romero and Emilia Mickevicius — a Norton Family assistant curator of photography at the Phoenix Art Museum — at 1:30 p.m.
There will be a moderated session called “Exploring the Intersection of Art + Design” at 3 p.m. that will discuss how art and design intersect to create engaging environments. That will be followed by Diné weavers Naiomi and Tyler Glasses talking about their creative process, family traditions and different collaborations at 5 p.m.
The programming on Saturday kicks off with international gallerists from Europe, Asia and South America sharing their perspectives on the global contemporary art market’s current trends at noon. The Phoenix Art Museum Director and CEO Jeremy Mikolajczak will then talk about the different forces that shape the art world at 1:30 p.m.
At 3 p.m. Saturday, Sade Moore from ASU’s Art Museum and Dan Clevenger from DLR Architects will examine the legacies of Bennie Gonzalez and Dennis Numkena. Programming on the third day will then be wrapped up with a discussion about contemporary art museums’ role and the impact they have on the art world at 5 p.m.
The final day of Scottsdale Art Week will have Alissa Ford, vice president of American & Western Art at Heritage Auctions, and Medicine Man Gallery Founder Mark Sublette explore the Western art market’s status, the evolution of Western and Native American art and the legacies of Maynard Dixon and Ed Mell at 1:30 p.m.
The only other programming on Sunday will be at 3 p.m. when artist Curt Walters joins Chief Curator Patrick Nelson to discuss Walters’ career and the different aspects that have shaped his work.
