A scooter rider died after getting hit by an SUV at an intersection near downtown Phoenix on Tuesday morning, authorities said.

PHOENIX – A scooter rider died after getting hit by an SUV at an intersection near downtown Phoenix on Tuesday morning, authorities said.
Officers responded to a collision call at Seventh Avenue and McDowell Road just after 9 a.m. and found the injured man in the roadway, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

The scooter rider, 35-year-old Thomas Frost, was rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
What did police say about fatal collision involving scooter rider?
The SUV that struck Frost was nearby when officers arrived. The driver didn’t show any signs of impairment, police said.
“Preliminary information suggests the SUV was making a left hand turn to go southbound onto Seventh Avenue, from McDowell Road, when it struck the scooter, which was heading eastbound on McDowell Road,” Sgt. Phil Krynsky said in a media advisory.
The investigation into the fatal incident is ongoing.

"when it struck the scooter, which was heading eastbound on McDowell Road,” OK the rest please. Was he on the road in the correct lane or going against the flow of traffic? Was he on the sidewalk riding at 20mph or more? I ask because people make their own rules when they ride these things. They go and do what ever the Hades they feel like. So before the sober driver is blamed for inattentive driving, we need more!!!

Unfortunately the article reeks of partisan bias. The headline highlights the vehicle as an SUV, this fascination continues for a total of four times mentioning in the article and headline that an SUV was involved.
The fact that an SUV was involved is not relevant, it is not newsworthy and it simply exposes the partisan bias of liberals pretending to be real "journalist". Even the police press release fails to fixate with the vehicle in question. Unfortunately KTAR appears to be fixated with telling people what to think versus how to think based on accurate information that is not tainted with bias. The focus on the story should be entirely on the loss of the life of Mr Frost.
