PHOENIX – Authorities canceled a SAFE Alert out of Phoenix on Monday after family members found the 78-year-old subject in good condition.
The alert for Anna Louise Mendoza had been issued on Friday, four days after she was last seen in the area of 27th Avenue and Durango Street.
Mendoza has a medical condition that can cause her to become lost or easily confused, according to authorities.
She was last seen around 6:45 p.m. Monday wearing a maroon polo shirt, blue jeans, white socks, white shoes and reading glasses.
She is described as 5 feet tall and 150 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes.
SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as a way to spread the word about missing persons who are 65 and older and missing persons who have dementia or developmental/cognitive disabilities.
