SAFE Alert canceled after 35-year-old Phoenix man returns home

Authorities canceled a SAFE Alert out of Phoenix on Monday morning after the subject returned home.

The alert for 35-year-old Paul Bellevoine was issued on Thursday afternoon. At the time, he hadn’t been seen since the previous Monday near 26th and Roosevelt streets.

He returned home early Friday, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Bellevoine suffers from a medical condition that can cause him to appear confused.

SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as a way to spread the word about missing persons who are 65 and older and missing persons who have dementia or developmental/cognitive disabilities.
