PHOENIX — Authorities canceled a SAFE Alert for a missing 67-year-old man from Mesa after he was found safe more than two weeks after the notice was issued.
Marcos Luna Castillo was last seen on foot near Mesa Drive and McKellips Road on Sunday, Feb. 15, around 10 a.m., according to the initial alert from the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
He was found safe and in good health, authorities said.
SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as way to spread the word about missing persons who are 65 and older and missing persons who have dementia or developmental/cognitive disabilities.
