SAFE Alert canceled for 81-year-old man last seen in Fountain Hills

PHOENIX — A SAFE Alert has been canceled for an 81-year-old man last seen in Fountain Hills named Stephen Crane.

He was last seen on Thursday near the intersection of North Saguaro and East Shea boulevards and was located “safe and in good health” on Monday, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Crane is a 5-foot-10, 148 pounds with grey hair and blue eyes and was wearing a dark grey shirt and nylon blue plants the last time he was seen.

He had last been seen in his grey, 2015 Audi Q5 with the license plate CHX7562 at around 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

Crane suffers from a medical condition that may cause him to become confused or lost.

Anyone with information was asked to contact the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office at 602-876-1011 or call 911 with relevant information.

SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as a way to spread the word about missing persons 65 and older and missing persons of other ages who suffer from dementia or developmental/cognitive disabilities.
