SAFE Alert canceled after missing 31-year-old Gilbert woman found safe

PHOENIX — Authorities canceled a SAFE Alert on Tuesday afternoon after a missing 31-year-old Gilbert woman was found safe.

Sandra Solis was last seen leaving her home in the area of Higley and Chandler Heights roads using a rideshare service around 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, according to the initial alert from the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Solis was found safe and in good health, authorities said.

Solis is described as a Hispanic female with brown hair and brown eyes. DPS added that Solis is 5-foot-4 and 170 pounds.

Solis has a medical condition that can cause her to become easily lost or confused, according to DPS.

SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as way to spread the word about missing persons who are 65 and older and missing persons who have dementia or developmental/cognitive disabilities.
