The subject of a SAFE Alert out of Mesa was found in good condition by police Friday.

The Mesa Police Department said 43-year-old Silvio Batres is OK after being located by patrol.

The alert was issued Thursday night after Batres went missing that afternoon. At the time, he was last seen around 1 p.m. on foot near Val Vista Drive and Main Street.

He has a diagnosed medical condition that causes him to easily become lost, and he is not familiar with the surrounding area, police said. He did not have a cellphone with him when he left his residence.
