PHOENIX — A SAFE Alert issued earlier this month for a missing 57-year-old man from Phoenix was canceled Wednesday by authorities.
Joseph Guaragna, who goes by Joe, was found safe by his family, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The SAFE Alert was issued Nov. 4 after Guaragna walked away from his home and didn’t return at 5 p.m. the previous day.
Guaragna has a medical condition that can make him appear confused, according to the alert.
SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as a way to spread the word about missing persons who are 65 and older and missing persons who have dementia or developmental/cognitive disabilities.
