SAFE Alert canceled after missing 68-year-old Mesa man located

Authorities canceled a SAFE Alert on Monday night after the subject, a missing 68-year-old man from Mesa, was located.

When the SAFE Alert was issued, Gregory Goodman had last seen near Sossaman and Baseline roads around 9 a.m. Monday.

The Mesa Police Department announced that he was found safe after 10 p.m.

Goodman is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 145 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes and a missing front tooth.

SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as way to spread the word about missing persons who are 65 and older and missing persons who have dementia or developmental/cognitive disabilities.
