SAFE Alert canceled for 85-year-old woman after found safe by Phoenix officer

A SAFE Alert for an 85-year-old woman last seen in Phoenix was canceled on Saturday afternoon just hours after it was issued, authorities announced.

The Phoenix Police Department said that Patricia Ann Studt was found safely by an officer before being taken to a nearby hospital for precautionary measures and to be treated for dehydration.

When the alert was issued, Studt was last seen in the area of North 16th Way and East Union Hills Drive on foot, according to authorities.

Studt is described as a white female, 5-foot-1 and 90 pounds with brown/gray hair and hazel eyes.

SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as a way to spread the word about missing persons who are 65 and older and missing persons who have dementia or developmental/cognitive disabilities.
