Rollover slows traffic on Interstate 10 in Phoenix near downtown
A trailer carrying dirt, tree branches and more rolled over inside the Interstate 10 tunnel in Phoenix early Tuesday, slowing traffic but not shutting it down.
PHOENIX – A trailer carrying dirt, tree branches and more rolled over inside the Interstate 10 tunnel in Phoenix early Tuesday, slowing traffic but not shutting it down.
The load spread across two westbound lanes at Seventh Avenue shortly before 6 a.m. A third lane was blocked off for cleanup access.
Traffic was getting by in left lanes.
The tunnel was finally cleared around 8 a.m.

Alternates routes were recommended, including northbound I-17 through the Durango Curve. Drivers could then get back to I-10.
