Ritzy Scottsdale boutique closes after nearly 40 years

After nearly four decades a Scottsdale family-owned clothing store will be closing its doors.

PHOENIX — After nearly four decades, a Scottsdale family-owned clothing store will be closing its doors.

Ritzy Rags and Shoes opened in 1987 and sold luxury women’s clothing, shoes and accessories. The boutique is located in Scottsdale at The Shops Gainey Village near Doubletree and Scottsdale roads.

The first day of the store closing sale will be by invitation only and will open to the public afterwards. Prices will be discounted up to 50% off and professional store closing experts RetailSalesPro.com is managing the closure.

When will the ritzy Scottsdale boutique hold sales?

  • Invitation only sale will be on Wed. February 26 from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Open to public sale will begin February 27 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

“The part I’m going to miss most is the gratification I got over the years overhearing my customers say, ‘Wow, I love this store!’ and ‘I couldn’t wait to get back here and shop with you!” store owner Craig Marsh said in a press release.

Marsh said he wanted to leave the business and “retire at the top of his game.”
