PHOENIX — Press Coffee is expanding in the Valley with the addition of a new shop located in downtown Phoenix scheduled to open in October, officials announced Tuesday.

The new store located near East Van Buren and Second streets will kick off with a grand opening on Oct. 8 that will last through the 10th where coffee lovers can buy $1 drip coffee.

All proceeds made from the grand opening drip coffee sale will be donated to Pawsitive Friendships, a local nonprofit that helps kids with disabilities by providing Animal Assisted Therapy, officials said in a press release.

There’ll be a guest bathroom, bar and table seating in the 1,200-foot space, with a separate entrance off of Van Buren Street.

The café will serve the same drinks sold at other locations and will use locally roasted beans for its beverages, officials said in the release. Visitors can also stop by for pastries, breakfast or lunch.

The store hours will be 6:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday.
