QuikTrip introduces full food service in Phoenix
QuikTrip has introduced its new full-service food concept in 87 of its Phoenix area stores.
Bags of chips and candy bars no longer make up the food fare at your local convenience store.
Earlier this week, QuikTrip introduced its new full-service food concept to customers in 87 of its Phoenix area locations, as the Phoenix Business Journal reports.
QT Kitchens will serve sandwiches, smoothies, pizzas and coffee drinks from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, looking to compete with fast food chains.
A QuikTrip executive told the Phoenix Business Journal that the gas station and convenience store brand had tested the model in 700 stores across 11 markets over the last 10 years.
The company will also carry out the QT Kitchens concept in Dallas and Atlanta. “Quite a few more” employees are expected to be hired by QuikTrip in Phoenix, the report said.
