A new bill proposed Thursday would prohibit Arizonans from using electronic benefit transfers (EBT) to buy fast food.

The bill, introduced by Reps. Sonny Borrelli, T.J. Shope and Kelly Townsend offers a change of where EBT funds can be used — and fast food joints aren’t one of those places. Also included are liquor stores, race tracks, adult entertainment stores/establishments and casinos.

It would also prohibit ATM machines in casinos, tracks and adult-oriented establishments from accepting EBTs.
