PHOENIX — Drivers heading in or out of downtown Wednesday evening should settle in behind the wheel and prepare to be patient in traffic. Two of the area’s venues will be opening doors for big events.
Grammy-winning performer Justin Timberlake had a concert scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. at Talking Stick Resort Arena, less than an hour after first pitch at the Arizona Diamondbacks game down the street at Chase Field.
The Diamondbacks faced National League West division rival Los Angeles Dodgers in the third of a four-game series at 6:40 p.m.
Timberlake announced the tour stop early this year. Tickets went on sale Jan. 22.
The show was sold out.
Man of the Woods kicked off March 13 in Toronto.
Besides Phoenix, the western swing included Salt Lake City; Las Vegas; San Jose, California and Los Angeles.

Both sites are on Jefferson Street — the baseball stadium is at Fourth Street, while the arena is practically next door at Second Street.
The city street transportation department didn’t list any road restrictions related to the concert or the date.
Valley Metro Light Rail tweeted out a reminder that a ticket to the show also earned concertgoers a free ride to the arena.
Good info if you're seeing #JustinTimberlake tonight. Don't forget your event ticket to @TSRarena is also valid fare on light rail. #RailRide #partnership @valleymetro https://t.co/eyI4SKIHkf
