Police search for suspect in east Phoenix shooting that left 1 dead

PHOENIX — Phoenix police detectives are looking for the suspect who killed a man on Wednesday night in east Phoenix, according to authorities.

David Taylor, 19, died after being shot near 30th Street and Indian School Road, according to a Wednesday announcement from the Phoenix Police Department.

At approximately 9:45 p.m., officers found Taylor lying on the street and suffering from a gunshot wound.

Emergency personnel took Taylor to a nearby hospital, but he later died from his injuries, according to police.

The suspect fled from the scene before police could arrive.

Detectives arrived on scene to take over the investigation and interview witnesses.

The investigation remains ongoing, and no further details were released.
