Police seek help solving fatal shooting near Glendale hospital last week

PHOENIX – Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying suspects in a fatal shooting last week near a hospital in Glendale.

A caller reported hearing gunshots and finding a wounded man near 59th Avenue and Thunderbird Road around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, the Glendale Police Department said.

Officers responded to the area west of Banner Thunderbird Medical Center and found 44-year-old Michael Harris, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The hospital was placed on lockdown temporarily while police searched the area.

Police believe additional witnesses have not come forward.

Anybody with information about the shooting was asked to call the Glendale Police Department at 623-930-3000 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (948-6377) or 480-TESTIGO (837-8446) for Spanish.
