Police investigate homicide of 17-year-old in north Phoenix

PHOENIX — Police are in the early stages of a homicide investigation after a 17-year-old male died from a shooting in north Phoenix early Saturday morning.

Officers responded to the area of 19th and Dunlap avenues just after 1 a.m. following reports of a shooting, according to a press release.

As they arrived, the minor was dropped off at a local hospital with injuries from a shooting.

The 17-year-old did not survive, according to the release.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Phoenix Police Department at (602) 262-6151 or Silent Witness at (480) WITNESS to remain anonymous.

Callers may be eligible for a cash reward.
