PHOENIX — An Arizona highway worker spent part of his Monday morning playing chicken on an East Valley freeway trying to capture a rooster.
Here's the rooster, off the roadway, left of the bush. So far he's evaded the guy trying to retrieve him. pic.twitter.com/0WKdPDJVtF

The loose fowl was spotted on westbound Interstate 10 at the Broadway Road exit just before 9 a.m.
Drivers began informing the Arizona Department of Transportation of the clucking hazard and a worker was dispatched.

The rooster cleverly evaded the civil servant for a while but failed to compete with the llamas on the loose in Sun City last month in popularity.
That animal great escape went viral.
We have to ask, why did the chicken cross the road?
