Phoestivus holiday market returns at new location in downtown Phoenix

PHOENIX — For its 16th year, the annual Phoestivus holiday market is celebrating the season of giving at a new location in downtown Phoenix.

This year the holiday craft market will move from the Downtown Phoenix Farmers Market to the Arizona Center, which is off of Third and Van Buren streets.

Organizers behind the farmers market, which benefits from Phoestivus, said they’re excited for this new chapter.

“We are so grateful for our new partnership with our friends at the Arizona Center, whose vibrant mix of gardens, fountains, local dining, fun shopping and lively event spaces, makes it the perfect backdrop for bringing together our community and supporting our hardworking local farmers, small businesses and our community,” organizers said.

Another change from previous years is that Phoestivus will be open for one night only on Dec. 12 and run from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

What can Arizonans do at the Phoestivus holiday market?

The outdoor market is presented by Community Food Connections and will have more than 175 vendors offering handmade goods, artisanal gifts and treats that are grown locally.

Besides tackling their gift list, there will be holiday activities for attendees to take part in as well as photo opportunities with Phreddie the Yeti.

As Arizonans walk through the market, there will also be live entertainment for them to enjoy and a variety of food vendors to choose from.

Attendees are allowed to bring their dogs with them to the holiday market.

There is a suggested donation of $5 per person at the gate to Phoestivus, but it is not required in order to gain entry.
