Phoenix ZooLights rolls into final week of annual holiday attraction

PHOENIX – The Phoenix Zoo’s colorful yearly holiday lights display is ending this week, with the drive-thru option finishing up Tuesday and walk-thru on Saturday.

Cruise ZooLights will be open Monday and Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m., the zoo said. Reservations are required for the car trip across the grounds. Tickets for zoo members are $60 per carload, while general admission costs $75 and can purchased at the website.

No one will be allowed on foot on the trail during the drive-thru, which can last from 35 to 60 minutes. Snacks, gift shop items and photo opportunities can be added onto orders and picked up along the route, zoo spokeswoman Linda Hardwick said in a press release.

The zoo introduced the drive-thru concept in 2020, during the the first fall/winter of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The traditional walking route of ZooLights will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 5:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased on the website.

Zoo members will be charged $16 a person, while general admission tickets will be $20.

The annual lights display have been aglow since Nov. 15.
