PHOENIX — You may want to get the sunblock ready, Phoenix, as temperatures were expected to be in the 80s for most of this week.
Phoenix officially reached 80 degrees on Monday for the first time since Feb. 9, when temperatures peaked at 82 degrees.
Since then, the weather has fluxed with highs between the low-60s to mid-70s, according to the National Weather Service.
Prepare for a return to the 80s in Phoenix with a high of 82 expected on Thursday. We haven't see the 80s since it was 82 back on Feb 9. #azwx pic.twitter.com/psZHzH06RV

Tuesday and Wednesday were expected to reach highs of 78 before it heats up to 83 on Thursday. Friday was expected to cool back down to 82 degrees and will fall back into the upper-70s for the weekend.
Saturday will be 79 degrees, Sunday will be 78 then Monday will increase to 79. Both Saturday and Sunday were expected to be cloudy as well, with a 10 percent chance of rain on Sunday.
The rest of the week was forecast to remain dry.
Thursday and Friday were expected to be the first back-to-back days with 80-degree weather since Feb 8 to 9.
While 83 degrees is warm, it’s not the March 8 record. In 1972, the temperature topped out at 92 degrees, according to commercial service Weather Underground.
Warm and dry conditions will prevail through Saturday. After that, the pattern favors a higher than normal chance of precipitation across California and warmer than normal conditions across the Desert Southwest. #azwx #cawx pic.twitter.com/H8D0q2h6U7
