3 arrested, 1 person of interest sought in shooting that left teen dead

PHOENIX — Three suspects have been arrested and a person of interest is still being sought in connection with a shooting in Phoenix last month that left one teen dead and two others injured, authorities announced.

Anthony Coleman, 17, Jacari West, 17, and Syncere Jack, 15, have all been charged with murder as adults for the Oct. 2 shooting death of 16-year-old Trey Bomelyn, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Additionally, police released a photo of a person of interest that they are looking for, who they believe has information related to the shooting.

Details on shooting that killed Phoenix teen

When officers responded to the scene near 32nd Street and Roeser Road on the night of the deadly shooting, they found two teenage boys suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. One of them, now identified as Bomelyn, later died. The other teen suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

A third teen who was hurt during the incident took himself to the hospital with unspecified non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
