PHOENIX — Phoenix Sky Harbor’s reputation as a top airport in the nation received another boost on Tuesday.

Airport advice website The Points Guy ranked Sky Harbor as the second-best airport for 2019 out of the 50 busiest U.S. airports.

The ranking included several factors, such as amenities, commute and flight times.

“We’ve been adding passenger amenities, new shops and new restaurants,” Sky Harbor spokeswoman Heather Lissner told KTAR News 92.3 FM on Wednesday. “We continue to make improvements to give our passengers the best travel experience they can have.”

Sky Harbor was the website’s top airport in 2018, but was leapfrogged by San Diego in this year’s ranking.

It was dinged for its north runway closure from early January to late February in 2018, according to the site.

Even so, Sky Harbor performed well across all categories, especially commute.

The airport trailed just San Diego in the category, which took into account factors such as drive time, public transit options and ride-hailing prices.

Portland, Atlanta and Sacramento rounded out the top five airports.

Chicago Midway was ranked the worst U.S. airport.

KTAR News 92.3 FM’s Mitchell Zimmermann contributed to this report.
